CBY’s monthly Friday evening Shabbat service is this Friday, February 22^nd.   The torah portion, Ki Tisa, is a terrific one.  It also inspired Mel Brooks’ best joke ever.  (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyMQCj8LvZw).

We are going to continue our experiment of flipping the order of events such that our service precedes the vegetarian potluck.  Ideally, you will arrive at 6pm and place your contribution to the meal in the Youth Lounge of Kol Ami.  (Food can be kept warm in the oven.)  Then, promptly at 6:15pm, we will begin our evening in the Pepper Chapel with candle lighting and a roughly one-hour service and discussion.  At 7:30pm, we will adjourn to the Youth Lounge for our Kiddush and Shabbat supper.
