Statement on Israel & Palestine

February 2026

We stand united in our hope that someday, all people in Israel/Palestine will be able to live free from oppression, in dignity and equality.

Even as we feel relief that the hostages have returned home, we grieve, we abhor the horrifying death, destruction, and inhumanity in Gaza. We pray for healing and accountability; we pray that all sides will continue to work toward lasting peace and a just resolution.

As a community, we come from many different backgrounds and hold many different perspectives on the state of Israel and Zionism, but we are also guided by our values as a progressive Jewish organization.  We will continue ongoing dialogue around our differences and points of unity.

In all we do, we seek to respectfully listen to and learn from one another in expressing the diversity of views and positions embraced by our members.

May you love your neighbor like yourself.
