National Refugee Shabbat – Eric Goldman will lead

Dear Chaverim,

Our October service will be on Friday, October 19. The potluck dinner will begin at 6 pm in the Youth Lounge, and the service will start at 7:30 in the Pepper Chapel.

The service will be a combination of our traditional service, and a theme on refugees. We will be among more than 100 congregations nationwide, in conjunction with HIAS, participating in the National Refugee Shabbat (The Kol Ami service on the 20th will similarly include attention to refugees in its service).

Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

PS – Since the tzedakah will go to the clients of HIAS, the Jewish Resettlement Agency behind this Refugee Shabbat, and given that they are based in New York and Washington, DC, a cash donation would be best.
